Week 3 Assignment: Stone Age

Hi, it's me again- The not that talented, but trying by being in an art class gal. What up?
So for this assignment we had to somewhat "recreate" something from Art History. So this is my attempt. But before I show y'all, lemme clear something up: I had absolutely no idea how to do this, so don't judge meh. I tried really hard XD My hands ended up covered in paint, my walls splashed with paint, ruined a sponge... it was just a big messy =-=
Without further ado, here's my attempt:

It's kinda based off a real cave painting of two deer swimming.
We were supposed to make the paper look kinda like a cave wall
(I know I kinda failed on that part, but I tried...)
I'll show the real thing at the end of this post, also give the link.

Later on this week, since it seems like this week will be mainly for catching up for new students and the like, I'll try to finish this drawing (I'll post it, when it's done as well):

I always thought she was kinda cute, so I should finish it...

Here is the original cave painting that I based it off of:

Along with it's link: TA DAH

That's it, Ja matane!

Week 2 Assignment 2: Sketch!

Week 2 Assignment 2: Sketch!

I'm pretty sure that we're suppose to post our assignments, nee?
I'm not all that proud about these, but whatever.
At the end of it, I'll have a picture of a drawing I did this week- that wasn't for the assignment.

1: Sketch of a circle shaded by blending.
2: Sketch of a circle shaded by blending *refined*
3: Sketch of a circle shaded by cross-sketching
4: Sketch of a circle shaded by pointillism (soooo annoying)

"Final Sketch"
I sketched the thingy you use as a model for different poses.
I shaded it using cross-sketching.

This is the drawing I mentioned earlier. A mermaid (chibi style) holding a triton.
(I messed up terribly on that hand). Along with an angler.

Hajimashite

He's a cutie, aye? Sadly, he has a hole in his wing...
Hello.
My name is Nalah.
I'm 15, grade 10. And taking Art for the first time...
I love pretty much all living creatures (Not that big of a fan for humans though...)
When I grow up, I want to be of some sort of help for endangered species.
But for now, as a 15 year old girl... I'll be in Art.
My hobbies include: Drawing, reading (novels and manga), watching movies (Love Marvel) and anime + Sherlock, play'n with Bucki-chan (my dog), and that's about it for now.

A few pics of my drawings, so that y'all have an idea of what kinda stuff I do...

This is a mermaid... I hardly ever draw backgrounds, but yeah...

A fairy... Kinda went overboard with all the
magical blue stuff, but I was having fun coloring it.

A fox girl I guess? I don't know what they're called,
but there is some legend of some fox god/demon that grows another
tail for every xxx years they live. So I found that pretty cool.
So I like to draw fantasy creatures and such. Mainly because, no one has ever seen a mermaid, fairy, fox girl (?), naga, the Empusa, some of my made up things that I don't have a name for... so they can't say "that's not how so and so looks like," and so on. It's like this way a can let my imagination free~ and not have to take a step back, as if I would if I were to draw a real animal or person. Making up my own is much more fun.
